The fruits of Over-development?

Perhaps it would be poetic justice if all at Cornwall Council responsible for the hyper development that leads to this kind of stinking mess were to be dunked in this revolting water spreading out into an otherwise clean harbour.
Perhaps then the realisation may finally sink in that vital infrastructure like sewerage works and pipes should be upgraded BEFORE development takes place, not than after.
One resident commentated:
"Cornwall Council know full well that the sewers are inadequate for current levels of foul water flows in conditions of heavy rainfall, yet they hand out more and more planning permissions, instead of embargoing new developments until the system is upgraded... Now it is coming home to roost and a typhus outbreak is not beyond the realms of possibility."
KREMLIN KERNOW INSIDER REPORT - PART 2
We have just passed the ten year mark since Cornwall Council’s undemocratic conversion to a Unitary Authority (UA) and whereas we have witnessed the acclaim of its success, we must not forget that this was introduced against the wishes of Cornwall’s taxpayers by the (what many would call infamous) leadership team of David Walley, Doris Ansari and Adam Paynter. Consultation resulted in the proposal being comprehensively defeated. As far as many local communities are concerned, the UA still remains very unpopular; in the opinion of many, it has not come up to the standard of service, democracy, accountability, transparency and localism which was experienced with Restormel Borough Council.
Although Unitary has created some positives, but these have been far outweighed by the negatives, of which there are too many to mention; the most significant is there now being only a single contact point for Westminster, and thus one step nearer to unwanted urbanisation.
In addition to this, the opinions of many around Cornwall is that the higher echelons of Cornwall Council are ethically dubious and morally bankrupt, as far as democracy and localism is concerned.
Cornwall Council’s controversial adventure as a large scale property developer, as ruthlessly promoted by consultant John Betty, came under renewed scrutiny on Wednesday 3rd April, after pilot schemes of the original concept were revealed highly flawed. Officials say that the mixed tenure housing estates at Bodmin and Camborne are too big, too comfortable and too expensive, and that future developments will have to be smaller and cheaper, and need a more aggressive approach to profit taking, in order to deliver the expected financial returns.
The £600 million housing scheme is Kremlin Kernow's single most ambitious and high profile project. Some councillors fear that officials are seeking cabinet endorsement to secure a “political sign off” in advance of a study into design and build quality, which would fundamentally inform the business case. One councillor said “They are trying to bounce us, their numbers do not add up and they know it, they are just making stuff up as they go along”, another said “I am coming to the end of my tether”.
To Council tax payers: beware these plans to speculate with borrowed money, to build houses Cornish folk cannot afford; perhaps time to ask your councillor what he or she is doing about it, as you, along with future families in Cornwall, will have to pay the interest bill for a very long time to come.
IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THIS NEWS YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR COUNCILLOR & MP FULLY AWARE OF YOUR FEELINGS, AS IT IS NO GOOD MOANING, IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO GET INVOLVED IN CHANGING THESE DISASTROUS POLICIES.
