This was alleged on social media this week: "I heard the whole (Redruth) inner bypass waste of money was simply to allow houses to be built on those fields, as they couldn't have a dual carriageway running through it; and this was all down to back-handers and high level corruption between the construction company (Percy "I'm not rich enough" Williams) and the County Council.
