Please come and witness an exercise in gross financial mismanagement at Lys Kernow today, as the man who's failed strategy at Threemilestone & Tregurra, has cost Cornish taxpayers millions, now wants us to borrow another £600m for his hair-brained scheme at Langarth farms, near Chiverton Cross, and probably beyond.

If you live in Roche, lookout as there's more concrete about:

In fact, it's due everywhere:

Meanwhile, Launceston is back in the news today:

If you think all these madcap plans and irresponsible borrowing doesn't concern you, think again.
Check page 20 of the newly adopted Cornwall Local Plan (2016) to see how many thousands more unsustainable, unaffordable and unsightly plasterboard boxes are planned for your back yard:

Another 100-page document that probably cost £100,000s or more to produce. So it's painful to read the opening from councillor Edwina Hannaford who says:
"Cornwall is a special place. We all have a responsibility for its future and proper planning is a key part of this."
Really?!! Thanks for reminding us. Shame your Local Plan - that seems anything but - will bring another 100-150,000 cars and lorries to our badly maintained country lanes.
Its main aims state:
1- Sustainable economic growth
2- a better environment
3- creating safer communities
4- improving health and wellbeing
Of course, building massive new estates on our green belts, high quality farms and ancient woodland will no doubt accomplish all these things. And whilst Cornwall slips down a place in poverty rankings - to last - millions end up in someone's pockets... developers? Councillors? Planners? Consultants? Politicians? Whilst ordinary residents just end up paying even more for the privilege of having these clever reports and a sewerage-proof Local Plan...
One supporter in Truro says:
"I cannot believe the planning mess we are in, and in particular the road plans. With more and more cars on the road, the pavements are getting wider, the roads narrower, less traffic lanes, more roundabouts, more traffic lights, more traffic calming schemes; which leads to more pollution, more mess. No long term plan which is viable and thought through."

One experienced Cornwall Councillor said this about Phil Mason and Kate K., the new CEO:
"This Guy is no good to himself or anyone else. The problem is the chief executive, as they say the buck stops at the top. There are more problems than most know. She must go."
