Cornwall Council are broke yet pay expensive consultants/planners to 'advise'

From one professional in mid-Cornwall: "Sometime ago (at the time of the EIP in 2016), I remember one person asking a question re. Treliske/infrastructure and the answer to the question was that "CC are HOPING the government will fund our infrastructure AFTER the 52,000 homes are built." I don't think CC have a clue to be honest and they're up to their eyeballs in debt. Given their level of debt, any other company would've been declared bankrupt a long time ago..." Last year our council taxes paid out £61m in interest payments!!!
