To the members of City Council for the city of Copperas Cove, Tx.We are writing with our dissatisfaction of the safety of our roads here in Copperas Cove.
We are coming together to ask the council members to consider the following safety measures: more stop signs in the stretches that lack, speed bumps in the residential neighborhoods to help encourage drivers to slow down, adequate sidewalks for pedestrians to have a safe place to walk rather than in the roads, proper lighting so all can be seen in the darker hours.
We lost a beautiful member of our community Monday, January 13, 2020 due to wreckless driving. And where as it has been brought to our attention this isn't the first death on our roads from accidents, there have been other accidents as well that didn't involve fatalities, it is now time to make the changes needed so another life isn't senselessly lost.
