The Issue

I just pulled three sweet cats out of an extreme hoarding situation with 60-plus cats, and they arrived filthy, overwhelmed, and badly in need of care. We got them cleaned up, gave them a cozy setup, and finally let them feel a little safety and love. The best part is they are already fixed, which means they are ready for the next step. But while these three are safe tonight, so many more are still stuck there waiting.

This is what people do not always see about animal hoarding cases: getting a few out is not the same as solving the crisis. The remaining cats still need safe placement, medical support, food, transport, and time from people who know how to handle rescue the right way. No one person can absorb a situation like this alone, and grassroots rescuers should not be left begging for scraps of space while animals continue to suffer. When there are this many cats involved, the response has to be organized.

I am calling on local shelters, rescues, and animal welfare agencies to coordinate emergency placement for cats being pulled from hoarding situations like this one. That means creating intake partnerships, sharing foster networks, helping with transport and supplies, and working together so cats are not left behind simply because one rescue is full. We need a real community response that treats these cases like the emergencies they are.

If you believe these cats deserve a safe landing spot and a real chance at recovery, please sign this petition. Help me push the people and organizations with the power to act to step up now. These animals have been through enough, and they should not have to wait any longer for safety.
