We, the undersigned, ask for a centralized off leash enclosed dog park to be established in the village of Palatine. We propose the best location would be at Deer Grove East. There are a number of suitable locations for a dog park (such as the area at Grove 2). There is already covered seating, bathroom facilities,  and ground pumps nearby for owners to get water for their furry friends. The only things needed would be enclosed fencing and waste receptacles (dog poop stations). The cost of installing a fence and maintenance of the dog park would be covered by annual membership fees. The following are just a few attributes to a centralized dog park in our community.

-A safe environment for dogs to exercise,  play, and socialize.

-A great way for residents of Palatine to get together and meet their neighbors.

-A good way for both dog owners and dogs to get outside for fresh air and relaxation.

-A great way to better our community.

-A happy dog makes a happy owner.
