We, the undersigned residents of the Cook electorate, write to you with deep concern over the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. The scale of suffering - mass displacement, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and loss of innocent lives- is unprecedented and demands urgent international attention.

As your constituents, we call on you to:

Publicly support an immediate and sustained ceasefire to prevent further loss of civilian life.

Advocate for unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, including food, water, medical aid, and shelter.

Urge the Australian Government to take a principled stance in international forums, including the United Nations, to uphold international law and protect civilians.

Support the suspension of arms exports and intelligence cooperation with any parties involved in violations of international humanitarian law.

Australia has a proud tradition of standing up for human rights and peace. We believe our community in Cook reflects those values and expects our elected representative to act accordingly.

We respectfully request that you raise this issue in Parliament and with relevant ministers, and that you respond to this petition with clarity on your position and intended actions.
