State's Attorney- Can You Please Review My Son- DeColbie Esco's Murder? No Accident!
The Issue
My son DeColbie Esco, Sr. - Was murdered on August 25, 2012 in the Lincoln Square/Ravenswood (Ward 40) area between 12am-1am, on the North Side of Chicago at 5116 North Western/2411 West Foster (Alley). Murder has gone UN-NOTICED.
From January to August of 2012, the City Of Chicago had over 500+Murders, Coby's murder was classified as a Hit & Run. He was murdered. This hit&run was no accident, it was intentional, his case has become a cold case in Major Accident Unit. It is not treated as a homicide. Coby was treated as property, I was treated as though I lost property such as a car, jewelry, or other pieces of items. I was not treated as though I had lost a son, a human being, a piece of my heart... my child.
A few details about that night: After getting off Western bus- headed South to the Brown Line on his way home, Coby and his friend was chased down by (Several Vehicles). Coby was hit, dragged for two long blocks, rolled over multiple times. Also- both of Coby's arms had strange markings. His broken body was left in the alley like trash. Coby has never been in a gang, he avoided violence & trouble, and spoke against it; Coby was a peacemaker. Coby was a positive person and a positive influence in his students' lives; as well as his family and friends. Coby was an Asset to Chicago-Not a Liability. He did everything society and Mom asked him to do: got his degree from College, worked with children, took care of his son, voted, and paid taxes.
