Make the Dallas Cowboys Uniforms Match Again

The Issue

As a life-long fan, my biggest frustration with the Dallas Cowboys is not even about football. I just want their uniforms to be returned to their former glory by matching the colors with the helmet!  One silver and one blue!

From the birth of the modern helmet design in 1967, and throughout the 1970s, the Cowboys had a sharp, color-consistent uniform, using a bold, navy blue throughout.  Yet, changes were made in the early 1980s to use a lighter, more royal blue in the home white jersey numbers, shoulder stripes and pant stripes (this lighter blue was used from 1964 to 1966) while leaving navy blue in the helmet and navy jerseys.  Also around this time, two different silver pants were used between the home and road uniforms, and the mismatching uniforms have somehow stuck ever since.  I and many others believe these mismatches are an aggravating detriment to the brand.

As we have seen from the Los Angeles Lakers in recent years, slight adjustments can be made without disrupting an iconic format.  The Cowboys helmet is iconic, the simple fix is matching everything else up to it. This concept by Beau Braden is a great model:

One silver and one blue are 40 years overdue, but it is never too late to strengthen the image of the Dallas Cowboys!  Please sign to encourage the front office to make these small changes.
