Living in and around St Charles, Missouri, I'm fortunate to witness the thriving community of mountain biking enthusiasts who regularly congregate at Kinetic Park. The asphalt pump track has been a staple for many riders, offering a structured platform to hone their skills. However, it lacks the authentic, thrilling experience that only a dirt track can provide. This sentiment is shared by numerous riders who are eager for something more.

Across the nation, dirt mountain bike tracks have been recognized not only as a sport facility but also as community hubs that promote fitness, outdoor activity, and social interaction among all ages. St Charles has a vibrant mountain biking community that deserves the best exercising ground.

Building a dirt pump and jump track can be a collaborative venture. We already have a wealth of enthusiastic trail builders ready to volunteer their skills and time to ensure its success. St Charles County Parks working together with local volunteers can create a remarkable facility that meets the desires of the community and visitors alike.

In fact, the Department of Transportation reported in 2020 that recreational cycling increased by 35% nationwide, showcasing a rising demand for competitive and recreational biking facilities. The existing asphalt track at Kinetic Park sees immense use, but a new dirt track could significantly elevate the park's appeal, drawing in more visitors and uplifting our local economy.

Moreover, surrounding communities like Bentonville, AR, and Louisville, KY, have seen tremendous benefits following the establishment of dirt tracks. These sites have swiftly turned into regional attractions, underlining both community pride and generating economic activity by drawing tourists and hosting events.

This project would not only serve the current base of riders but also encourage a new generation to take up the exhilarating sport of mountain biking within a safe and dedicated environment.
