It’s no secret that Maul: Shadow Lord has been a massive success as it dives deeper into Maul’s personal story and giving him a more concrete background. But one character that we know so much about but never saw how he came to be, is General Grievous. 

Grievous has been a fan favourite character for years, and his backstory as a Kaleesh warlord before his near-fatal shuttle crash forcing him to become a cyborg, is well known. However, with the success of Shadow Lord it opens up for new opportunities. Like Maul, if Grievous were to get his own TV series from his time as a warlord up to before the main Clone Wars timeline, it would show depth in his character and show us how he came to obtain such an intense hatred for Jedi. The show would also have an incredible opportunity to show the emotional and physical toll his transformation into a cyborg could take, and how far corruption goes as it was his allies who bombed his shuttle.

There has already been some intrigue from fans about making a series for Grievous, with discussions on Facebook, Fandoms and other media. I wholeheartedly agree with them as I have loved his character the moment I first saw him on screen. His intimidating presence, his skill with lightsabers and being on par with some of the strongest Jedi ever, make him a force to be reckoned with and rightly so. We know that if done properly, Disney and Lucasfilm can deliver a project worth remembering. And, with your help, that project can become reality. Help us make this possible.
