The Issue

I am a passionate advocate for sustainable transportation, and it is my belief that SEPTA's route 103 bus should be converted to light rail. To me, light rail is superior to bus rapid transit for a number of reasons. Notably, the route was originally an interurban trolley route until 1966, thus it should have been succeeded by light rail.

The conversion of this transit line would not only honor its historical roots but also contribute positively towards environmental sustainability. Light rail systems are known for their energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions compared to buses. Moreover, they offer smoother rides and can carry more passengers per trip which could potentially reduce congestion on Delaware County roads.

As residents of Delaware County, PA we have the opportunity to lead in sustainable public transportation solutions. By converting SEPTA's Route 103 from bus rapid transit to electric light rail we can make strides towards reducing our carbon footprint while improving the quality of our public transport system.

Let us rally together as a community dedicated to progress and sustainability. Please sign this petition urging local authorities and SEPTA officials to consider converting Route 103 into an electric light rail line.
