This new grading system is inferior to the old one in almost every way. The gradebook has gotten way too big and complicated. A lot of this new system doesn't make sense and as a student in the ECASD it seems not even the teachers understand it. This grading system also makes it harder on the high school teachers who have to convert this into a GPA grade anyways. This grading system also fails at the main task it's trying to achieve which is showing students what they need to improve.The new gradebook makes it even more complicated to figure out a students area to improve because of how big it is, how poorly designed it is, and how poorly worded these standards. This new grading system is an issue and must be fixed and it can be fixed by going back to the old, more superior letter grading system.
