The issue

As mothers to small children, we hold a deep love for our country and its rich diversity. We've grown up in the wonderful Australia that offers endless opportunities and a vibrant, multicultural society. However, today we see the challenges that threaten this very foundation. Our children deserve the chance to secure jobs, own homes, and build their families in the same prosperous environment we experienced.

The current immigration policies, particularly the Albanese administration's mass immigration program, are exacerbating existing issues. While we embrace multiculturalism and the richness it brings to Australia, we cannot ignore the struggles faced by Australians today. Many are finding it increasingly difficult to find employment, secure housing, and manage their finances amidst soaring costs.

Statistics have shown that housing prices have surged dramatically over the past decade, with metropolitan areas witnessing more than 70% increases since 2010.

Simultaneously, infrastructure development has lagged and builders suggest that a house that used to take 9-12 months to build now takes 2 years and has 3 and 4 levels of red tape. This means we are unable to keep pace with the growing population, resulting in congestion and significantly reduced standards of living.

We propose the government revisits its current policies and prioritises the development of essential infrastructure and housing solutions. By focusing resources on these critical areas, we can ensure that all Australians, current and future, thrive in a stable and robust environment.

Join us in urging the government to reconsider its mass immigration strategy in favour of strengthening our nation's infrastructure and housing capacity.

By doing so, we can create a sustainable future for our children and preserve the remarkable qualities that have made Australia a unique and desirable place to live.
