Andover Police Defendants Chief of Police Patrick Keefe and Lieutenant Chad Cooper's Trial Starts in Boston Federal Court on Monday March 11, 2019 at 9:00 AM.

In a rare ruling for the Plaintiff against police misconduct, a federal judge ruled on Friday February 22, 2019, denying qualified immunity and summary judgment to Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe and Lieutenant Chad Cooper in an excessive use of force case filed in 2017.

The case, which was scheduled to go on trial this Monday March 4, 2019. has been rescheduled to start next Monday March 11, 2019 with jury impalement. Judge William Young who presides over the case mapped out the trial during a final pre-trial conference last Monday February 25, 2019, based on the two parties' joint pre-trial memorandum, which was filed with the court on February 22, 2019.
