Continue the Legacy of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Continue the Legacy of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
The Issue
As a parent, I've been fortunate enough to share my love of reading with my children, thanks in large part to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Through this program, my kids, along with those of countless friends, have been delighted to receive and delve into a new book every month. These books are more than pages with words on them, they are doors that open up to worlds of imagination and learning. Children who read regularly are known to develop stronger language skills and have better academic performances overall (Child Development Institute).
Yet, this cherished program is at risk of discontinuation. If the Imagination Library ceases, generations of children could potentially lose access to these invaluable resources. According to data from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, since its inception in 1995, the program has gifted more than 150 million books to children (Dollywood Foundation Annual Report), proving its significant role in promoting early childhood literacy.
For the sake of our children, their love for reading, and the enrichment of their minds, we plea for the continued support of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. We call upon the stakeholders to acknowledge its profound impact on our young ones and perpetuate its good work. Please, support our pursuit for our children's literacy and joy of reading.
