First and foremost, a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one of you who signed our petition! Thanks to your incredible support, we shattered our goal and presented over 500 signatures directly to the City Council members and the Mayor at the City Council meeting on June 3rd. Your voices were heard loud and clear!
We also extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who went the extra mile by sending emails and making phone calls to their representatives. Your direct advocacy made a significant impact.
While the overwhelming public support from this petition and your individual outreach was evident, we are disappointed to report that despite this, some council members still voted down the amendment to fund Gillette Reproductive Health.
But this fight is far from over!
This was just the first reading of the amendment to the city budget. That means there are still more opportunities for us to advocate and ensure GRH receives the funding it desperately needs.
We need to double down on our efforts, and we need your help to do it!
