Do You Live in Unincorporated Santa Cruz County?
Then you’re at risk of LOSING your LOCAL FIRE and EMERGENCY services!
Lost fire and emergency services:
- Jeopardize the safety of your family & home
- Increase or eliminate your fire insurance
- Lower the value of your property
The unincorporated areas of Santa Cruz County are serviced by five fire stations: Burrell, Corralitos, Saratoga Summit, Big Creek, and Fall Creek (Bonny Doon). These stations are dependent upon monies provided under “CSA 48, County Fire”. The county has determined that they are not obligated under law to provide fire and emergency services. With tight budgets they could vote on December 13th to shut down the Fire Stations.
Take Action now! Sign this petition and it will Email the county supervisors (they get the petition letter on this website)
Thank them for the great job the county has done so far and tell them it is critical that the county continue to fund and operate the local fire stations in “CSA 48”.
