Contextualise the Wills Memorial Building: Installing an Information Board

Contextualise the Wills Memorial Building: Installing an Information Board
The Issue
The Wills Memorial Building is a Bristol icon, however it’s foundation is rooted in the labour of enslaved people.
Right now, that story is only told inside the building. For visitors, tourists and locals, who are unable to enter the building, this history is invisible.
This petition calls on the university to install a permanent, visible information board outside the entrance. Creating a site of public education where everyone is able to learn about the whole history of the building - including its colonial origins
For more information on the Wills family's ties to the transatlantic slave trade: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/university/anti-racism-at-bristol/university-slavery/legacies/history-legacies-slavery/names/
