Here is the email I just sent to MSNBC president Phil Griffin. It explains why I started this petition. Stop MSNBC from turning into FOX News!

Dear Phil,
We will mourn the loss of progressive programming on MSNBC. At a time when America needs strong, progressive voices, your plan to kill that off is sad. And clearly you have no love for the liberal audience. You’ve abandoned us entirely. You could have tried some fixes before you dropped the ax. You might have thought about America first.
However misguided they are, we will envy Fox News for sticking to their guns. MSNBC was out only defense against the dumbing down of our citizens and you are handing the opposition a gift.
I had to google you to see if you were a lobbyist or former right company president or just plain 1%. But alas, you apparently have gone off the rails.
Some might think you are in with the Koch Brothers. I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you have not given me a reason.
4 hours of Morning Joe is a joke. I won’t even turn the show on for a minute—since 2012—because I don’t want the even 'cable box" to know I would watch that show. Chuck Todd is no better on so many levels. Don’t you keep up with social media? We think these two MSNBC stars are useless and right wing.
So now, Rachel and Lawrence are the pallbearers, with all the weight on their shoulders—until you kill them off too. Maybe you could look around and find progressive voices you can live with instead of just killing off the ones who were fighting for folks like me.
So I am sorry for your loss and ours. RIP MSNBC. Hope you feel better soon.
