This is a petition seeking support for 2 new airport  routes in New York City all constructed by MTA New York City Transit. It's for a train for LaGuardia Airport and a train for JFK Airport  This will provide faster, more convenient options to the NYC airports, more accessibility for New Yorkers and tourists, reduces car emissions and pollution, and raises revenue for the MTA via fares and advertising space. Also, these trains for the airports are for Manhattan and have the same stops. So with these new routes, Manhattan will have 5 stations where BOTH airports are accessible.

Transportation I am petitioning for:

• A train providing service between Manhattan and LaGuardia Airport called the Manhattan-LGA Express
• A train providing service between Manhattan and JFK Airport called Manhattan-JFK Express

Why I’m petitioning for these buses:

 

Manhattan LGA Express: While Manhattan has an LGA route called the M60 SBS which is a bus, I think the airport needs a train route as well, this helps LGA commuters get there faster since trains beat road and highway traffic

Manhattan JFK Express: Since Manhattan has an LGA route which is the M60 SBS, I think it’s important that that borough has a JFK route as well

Reason for petition that applies to all transportation:

So that NYC has some more nonstop routes to the NYC airports. This will give NYC some more train routes to the airports and this mode of transportation gets commuters to the airport faster because trains have the tendency to go faster than buses and the Manhattan-JFK Express will give Manhattan a route to JFK Airport since there are no JFK routes there. Also the Manhattan LGA Express makes LGA accessible by train because there are no train routes there right now. In addition, Air emissions and pollution would be reduced, if increases accessibility for all, and is a faster option of getting to the airports. It also increases revenue for the MTA through fares and advertising.  

What you can expect if these trains are made:

Manhattan LGA Express/Manhattan JFK Express:

• Stops at all airport terminals.
• Will also help the environment because these buses will operate as clean energy trains
• All stops on 58th Street with 4 terminals in Manhattan. A 9 Av terminal that is connectable from the 1/A/B/C/D trains at 59 St-Columbus Circle, a 7 Avenue terminal connectable from the 57 Street-7 Avenue station on the N/Q/R/W Trains, a 6 Avenue terminal connectable from the 57 Street station on the F Train, a Madison Av terminal and a 3 Av terminal which is connectable from the 4/5/6/N/R/W trains at Lexington Av-59 St
• Heads straight to the airport after leaving its 3 Av/58 St terminal
• Price affordable, pay with OMNY
•  Digital signs providing airport directory (Ex:Where to find JetBlue, Korean Air)
• Digital signs on train platforms with information about various worldwide attractions and resorts (Ex:Frida Kahlo Museum in Mexico and Warner Bros Movie World in Australia) which is going to raise revenue through advertising
• Digital signs onboard providing information about various United States attractions and hotel resorts (Ex:Walt Disney World, Aulani Disney Hawaii Resort) which will raise revenue through advertising 
• Reliable Wi-Fi
• Visible Surveillance cameras to keep everyone safe
• Train platform has glass down shielding the platform edge, the doors open when the train arrives. This is to prevent accidents as well as littering on the tracks
• There will be not only priority seating but clear spaced wheelchair areas where people who use a wheelchair can use that space to settle in during the ride to the airport or to Manhattan

 

How this transportation can make NYC better and/or what can be improved with this transportation:

Manhattan LGA Express: Once again, this new train makes LGA accessible by that mode of transportation and trains have the tendency to go faster than buses

Manhattan JFK Express: Once again, Manhattan has a route to LGA from Manhattan. So with this train, Manhattan would have a JFK route as well

How all transportation would make NYC better:

• LaGuardia Airport would contain some train routes since all LGA transportation right now is bus service
• JFK Airport would be accessible from Manhattan since there are no MTA routes in Manhattan that go there

If I manage to get enough supporters for this petition, all transportation plans which are the shuttle bus between Flushing and LGA, the Manhattan to JFK train and the Manhattan to LGA train will be sent to MTA New York City Transit and the governor will be sent all train plans.

FUN FACT: As you can see in the picture, to reduce cost for this train project. I think R211s should serve as the new airport railway lines so we don't have to build new train cars.

As much as I appreciate signers choosing to donate some money to change.org so my petition can be shared with more people. I strongly recommend that you don’t use that option because I don’t want anyone to think that I am soliciting money from minors.
