In many schools, access to clean and safe drinking water is a daily struggle due to the inadequate and vandalized drinking taps available. Most of these taps rarely function and even when they do, they are not reliable since they often break down. Many students have encountered this problem with shared frustration across our learning community. 

According to the World Health Organization, adequate access to drinking water is essential for a healthy learning environment, facilitating not only hydration but also contributing to better cognition and overall student wellbeing. Also, access to safe drinking water is a basic human right. With our current situation, it seems we are being denied our fundamental rights.

Moreover, imagine the adverse impact on the learning environment when students are constantly dehydrated due to a lack of access to clean water or only have access to contaminated water from vandalized taps.

In line with all the above, we respectfully request the relevant authorities to ensure the construction of sufficient and durable water taps in our secondary school. This isn't just about convenience, it's about our health, our rights, and our collective success as students. Please hear our voices, recognize our struggle, and take swift action.
