The city of Darlington/ Darlington high school has been seriously lacking a baseball/softball complex for a very long time from around 2015 citizens were being told that the complex at blue st would be replaced . First by a complex on Lawson drive , then a complex on old Florence rd , then a complex at ba Gary , then the most recent across from the middle school , none of these have panned out and it’s now 2023. 
The field that the high school team plays on was built in 1929 and has serious issues and is actually not even part of the high school complex and why don’t they play at the high school ? Thats because the fields on the school property are used for recreational fields and again we’re built in the 1970s and are in bad condition. 
We as a community need to step up and have our voices heard our children, grandchildren and future generation deserve better than this and should not have to leave our community to accomplish this. Please support this and share with your family and friends.
