Construct a train from Brooklyn to LaGuardia Airport

The Issue

If you thought my idea to create a train between Manhattan and LaGuardia Airport was cool! What if we created one that went there from BROOKLYN as well? Giving New York another faster convenient TRAIN option to LGA, still providing more accessibility for all which definitely includes New Yorkers and tourists, reduces car and air emissions and pollution, as well as car traffic in and around the airports and raises revenue for the MTA via fares and advertising space. Basically the petition is to create a train between Brooklyn and LaGuardia Airport with its name just as straightforward as the Manhattan train, of course the difference is it's called the Brooklyn-LGA Express.

Why I'm petitioning for this train:

One thing I want to improve over all the train ideas I have thought up is making better connections to Queens from Brooklyn, and I definitely think it's important that one of the plans gives Brooklyn a connection to one of Queens' biggest hubs, LaGuardia Airport!

  • So that Brooklyn commuters have an option in getting to LaGuardia Airport faster as well!
  • So LaGuardia Airport can have not one but TWO train routes that go there!

What you can expect with this new train:

  • Stops at all terminals in LaGuardia Airport
  • Operates as a clean energy train to protect the environment
  • Will have 11 stations in Brooklyn, read this petition further for more information
  • Heads straight to LGA after leaving it's last Brooklyn station and goes straight to Brooklyn upon leaving LGA
  • Price affordable, pay with OMNY
  • Digital signs providing airport directory (Where to find JetBlue, American Airlines)
  • Digital signs onboard providing information about various U.S. attractions (Ex:Universal Orlando Resort, Target Field in Minnesota) which will raise revenue through advertising
  • Reliable Wi-Fi
  • Video surveillance cameras to keep everyone safe
  • Train platforms will have glass down shielding the platform edge, the doors would open when the train arrives. So as to prevent accidents as well as littering on the tracks
  • In addition to priority seating, there will be clear spaced wheelchair areas where people who use a wheelchair can use that space to settle in during the ride to the airport or to Brooklyn
