As a resident of Canvey Island, I have personally experienced the daily struggle of traffic congestion and limited connectivity due to our current infrastructure. The lack of adequate access roads has not only impacted the quality of life for residents but also contributed to an increased carbon footprint. We urgently need the government's approval for the construction of a third access road off Canvey Island.

Canvey Island is home to over 38,000 residents (Census, 2011). With only two access roads - the A130 Canvey Way and B1014 Canvey Road - it is clear that our current infrastructure cannot support this population efficiently. Traffic congestion is a daily occurrence causing stress, wasted time, and contributing significantly towards air pollution.

The construction of a third access road would greatly alleviate these issues by providing an additional route on and off the island. This would not only improve connectivity but also reduce traffic congestion thereby improving air quality and reducing our carbon footprint.

We urge you to acknowledge this pressing issue that affects us all as residents of Canvey Island.
