I am a proud dog owner living in Tantramar, a lovely town in New Brunswick, Canada. My dog, like many others in our community, greatly enjoys and benefits from off-leash time and socializing with his fellow canine friends. I believe that the opportunity for dogs to socialize is of vital importance, and creating a space for them to do so can also serve as a place for dog owners to connect and support each other. 

Our neighbour town, Amherst, already has a dog park where witnessing the sheer joy of dogs, running, playing and meeting new friends, is a heartwarming sight. However, Sackville doesn't have such a dedicated space for our four-legged pals. According to the Canadian Animal Health Institute, there are nearly 8.2 million dogs in Canadian households - showing that dogs are a significant part of our lives and society. 

Building a dog park in Sackville would not only promote happiness and health in our canine population, but also foster a sense of community spirit among us, the dog owners. A park dedicated to dogs could offer a safe, inclusive environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes to enjoy just being dogs.

Can you imagine the sound of joyful barks filling the air in Sackville? Can you imagine the sight of engaged community members bonding over shared pet experiences and advice? I truly believe we can make this happen. For the well-being of our canine friends and to strengthen our community, I urge you to sign this petition to request the town of Sackville to construct a dog park. Let's make a dog-friendly Sackville a reality!
