The Issue

As a passionate supporter of BARC, a non-profit agency that rescues animals and provides community support in Lincoln County, I've seen firsthand the urgent need for an animal shelter in our area. Our county is home to countless abandoned and stray animals who desperately need care and shelter. Currently, BARC is doing its best to rescue these innocent creatures but without a dedicated facility, our efforts are limited.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. In rural areas like ours where resources are scarce, this number can be even higher due to lack of access to affordable spay/neuter services.

Building an animal shelter in Lincoln County would not only provide refuge for these helpless animals but also promote responsible pet ownership through education and outreach programs. It would also help control the population of stray animals which pose safety risks and health hazards.

This cause is personal because it's about giving voiceless creatures a chance at life while enhancing our community's quality of life as well. We urge local authorities and generous benefactors alike to consider funding this project that will make such an important difference for both humans and animals alike.

Please sign this petition if you believe that every creature deserves love, care, safety - sign if you believe in building an animal shelter here in Lincoln County!
