Con Edison's Billing practices need to be addressed, Specifically the exorbitantly high Delivery Charges. How is it even possible to justify charging more than twice the billed usage as a delivery charge? This doesn't need to Just be addressed, it needs to be changed.

For example in our household last month our Actual gas usage 214 therms (supply charge) is the charge for the gas supplied to you, was $137.31

The "Delivery charge" is broken down as follows:                                               "Basic"  service charge of $33.84 , (for the first 3.3 therms, ) is for infrastructure and customer service issues, $287.24 for the remaining 210.70therms, (which are also charges for infrastructure which they renamed maintenance) $21.11 for a monthly rate adjustment ?? (just because they can) and a system benefit charge of $0 , and a surcharge 0f $6.14 and tax of $13.93for a total delivery charge of $362.26

So in total our Gas bill came to $510.13 for $147.87worth of gas! 

I need anyone and everyone that uses Con Ed to join OUR neighborhood in taking them to task for Fraudulent pricing practices, Lets call them out!

The way I see it, our gas bill shouldn't be more than $181.71 on this particular Gas bill.

This is just our gas bill, The Electrical billing is just as bad

I feel they owe all of their customers an apology, a REALISTIC delivery charge on both the Gas and the Electric in the future, plus a substantial refund due to this practice of over billing.
