Consider our son NOT a danger to any community and grant him a bond

Consider our son NOT a danger to any community and grant him a bond
The Issue
We are asking residents of St. Joseph County and any surrounding communities to sign this petition in support of our son, Matthew R. Thimons. He is the second child of Rose and Regis Thimons of Mishawaka Indiana. Matthew, 40, is a lifelong resident of St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties and is a husband of 17 years and father of a 12 year old daughter.
Matthew Thimons was incarcerated on 8-16-2024, after a tragic fatal car accident, and unjustly charged with Felony DUI resulting in death, and remains in custody, after being denied bond twice by Circuit court, citing that he is a " danger to the community ". Matthew has absolutely no criminal, and is a college graduate with an engineering degree. Matt's alcohol level was well below the South Carolina legal limit for intoxication or even impaired. But due to the deceased person, other driver, being a very prominent member of the small community of Anderson South Carolina, as is his family, this case is being tried on emotions, social media, and local news, rather than the application of the law.
We would appreciate your signature and phone number to show support for Matthew Thimons for his next upcoming court date, possibly scheduled in May 2025, to state he is definitely not a danger to any community that he may reside
