Andrew Scheer has recently resigned the Conservative Party leadership leaving a job opening. The selection of the next leader will be key for the future of the Conservative movement in Canada. 

There are many good candidates. However, the creator of this petition has noticed a tendency for right wing parties to endorse or consider brash television personalities as of late. In the opinion of this concerned citizen; Canada does not need and not all regions may support your Donald Trump type. 

I propose Canadians endorse somebody with National appeal coast-to-coast. A proud Canadian, who is patriotic to the bone and knows this country and it’s people inside out. Someone who is known to be kind, caring, and engaged in Canada’s political issues through their own volition. An outspoken supporter of Canada's Armed Forces.

It is proposed that the Conservative Party of Canada consider Don Cherry for it’s leadership. Sure Don has been criticized from time-to-time for some of his views, but so has every other blue blooded Conservative leader. Don is a very informed patriotic Canadian who has spoken to, and is well respected by generations of Canadians. If anybody can unite this country and provide the nationwide appeal to propel the Conservative movement forward; It is Don Cherry.
