Mark Daniels has been the voice of WALK’s morning show for 34 years. I have grown up on Long Island my entire life and could never remember a time where he wasn’t on the air. I’d always make it a point to have my parents call the station on my birthday to have Mark wish me a “Happy Birthday!” Listening to him before getting on the bus for school, announcing the school closings on a snow day or just share his life with all of us here on Long Island. 

His voice is synonymous with LI radio/WALK’s morning show, and now he’s been taken off the air to make way for just another generic radio station to blend into the airwaves with all the others. Whether you share my memories or your own, losing Mark Daniels just doesn’t make sense. Keep WALK the way it is & let’s get Mark back where he belongs!
