Please assist with signing this petition to help with obtaining justice for Cherelle Baldwin. She is a young women from Conneticut that is facing up to 60 years for acting in self defense. This young lady was beaten, choked and almost killed by her abusive ex boyfriend Jeffery brown and in a desperate attempt to escape she killed her ex boyfriend. This young lady has provided proof through text messages that were sent, prior incidents of domestic cases in regards to abuse And welts found on her body the day after the killing. Let's unite in bringing this young lady home to her children and family. This is an issue that is deep to my heart and needs to stop! many women especially women in the black communities are victims of Domestic Violence and often time we are see as having "the angry black women" syndrome. We often time out kept silence due to the lack of assistance. I too was once a victim of domestic and many times nothing would be done. Luckily I was able to escape and be a survivor. There is no reason why anyone should have to suffer abuse and there is definitely no reason why this young women has to suffer the consequences of saving her life.
