Demand Congressman Huizenga protect a free, open Internet
The Issue
Hon. Congressman Bill Huizenga:
I urge you to protect the Federal Communications Commission's 2015 Open Internet Order, and preserve net neutrality so families, consumers and small businesses in our West Michigan district have free and uncensored access to the Internet.
This access is critical for students to learn in a fast-paced global economy, small businesses to compete on a level playing field with large corporations and families to access vital resources quickly and affordably, from medical information to financial resources and beyond.
We ask you to stand up to the FCC and support legislative solutions that protect net neutrality. This includes the 2015 order that treats broadband Internet providers as common carriers under Title II of the Telecommunications Act.
Please oppose any attempt to roll back the FCC's net neutrality protections. Furthermore, please oppose any effort in Congress to undermine the Open Internet Order.
