The problem of prosecutor misconduct increasingly is becoming recognized as a serious threat to justice. The most common problem is the concealment of exculpatory evidence, known as a "Brady Violation," which often leads to a wrongful conviction.

Sadly, prosecutors have a phrase that justifies such unethical conduct: "successful prosecution," which in practice means "convict the suspect, innocent or not." The Dept. of Justice web page, "Landing a Successful Prosecution," is one example of this "successful prosecution" mentality.

Such unethical prosecutors should be voted out of office and subject to public censure.
