Friends - It's been awhile since we heard updates from champions in Congress working to lift the ban on gun violence research. But... Congress is hearing us. A bi-partisan group of House members are joining our efforts and calling on their colleagues to end the ban on CDC research on gun violence. Reps. Price, Kelly, Quigley, Lowey and DeLauro introduced a bi-partisan sign-on letter urging the removal of the Dickey Amendment which, as you know, has had a chilling effect on federal gun research for nearly 20 years. There are already more than 85 House members who have signed. The deadline for elected leaders to add their names is TODAY! Help us keep the momentum going by urging your member of Congress to sign onto this letter. Take action TODAY by sending a message and calling your member of Congress. Tell them to sign onto this bi-partisan letter!
