Stop The Killing and Human Rights Violations of Yemen Civilians & Children
The Issue
The ongoing targeting of Yemen civilians and children by Saudi Arabia Coalition cannot be, in anyway, accepted as collateral damage. The bombing of schools, hospitals, mosques, farms, funerals, infrastructure, water treatment facilities and markets have rendered the worst humanitarian crisis ever. Cholera and famine now make recovery for this poorest of Mideast countries nearly impossible. The lives lost which amount to genocide of the Yemen people are irreplaceable, causing intense emotional and mental suffering for Yemenis.
According to the UN, from March 2015 to March 2017, 16,200 people have been killed in Yemen, including 10,000 civilians. The Saudi intervention, which has included widespread bombing of civilian areas, has been sharply condemned by the international community.
Another 5000+ deaths since March has been estimated. This does not include deaths by Cholera or other malnourishment.
It is imperative that the United States Congress act now to recognize the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is NOT following the rules of war, and not acting with caution or vigilance ti prevent civilian casualties in Yemen.
We deman that our country, tte United States of America, immediately stop military support and intelligence to KSA. Further, we demand that the USA withdraw from the Saudi Coalition and immediately stop the sale of arms, weaponry and aircraft to Saudi Arabia..
