Dear Senators, Representatives, and officials of the United States. President Biden. I already wrote to my own representatives, and I’m starting this petition with one goal in mind – convince you to impose the real sanctions against Putin’s Russia. For years civilized countries, including United States have been buying Russian oil and natural gas from Russia while closing our collective eyes on the aggression that Russia did around the world. Yes, I understand that Oil and Gas sanctions will lead to a higher price at the pump. Yes, I understand that some may say “Ukraine is far away”, and “it’s not our fight”, and “who cares who dies where in the world”. But I also understand, that IF United States had a foresight to enter a WWII right after Hitler invaded Poland – we could’ve avoided an unbelievable loss of life in Pearl Harbor following 4 years of war that caused the loss of countess lives of Americans.

Let’s be perfectly clear about what’s at stake here. Putin is a mad man, and he’s using the money that he gets from selling Oil and Gas to United States and other Western countries to then fund his military ambitions and his aggression in Ukraine, Georgia, Syria, and other places all around the world. I’m Ukrainian by birth, 1st generation immigrant who came here 30 years ago. I’ve been paying attention to this madness since the war in Georgia in 2008. And I realize that it is my money, the money that I pay at the pump that in part funds this lunatic and his agenda. This pathetic midget, this four-foot-nothing clown decided that he’s the God just because he has nuclear weapons. He appointed himself as Lord of all things – the one who decides which nation can live and which people should be erased from the planet and from history books. My suburban lifestyle is the reason his grand master plans for Ukrainians, Syrians, Georgians is possible. He’ll be telling United States and other nations what they should do, who they can trade with, ally with, partner with. And I’m sick of it, I want it to stop.

Please vote to impose embargo on Russian Oil and Gas. Please work with our European and other allies to do the same. I’m not just talking about “Nord Stream 2” but all Oil and Gas. If we do not do it now, it will end only in one way. Tomorrow Ukraine will fall, then Poland or Estonia or who knows who’s next. And afterwards it will be a nuclear mushroom cloud in New York or Miami. And don’t you think he won’t do it, because he will. No one believed he can invade the Ukraine, and look at where we’re now. This maniac is not going to stop until his money supply is cut. And as always, it is up to United States of America to stop the mad, dangerous criminal. More than anything this man is afraid to be laughed at, and he’ll destroy everything and everyone just to prove that he’s someone to be feared and not laughed at. If we don’t stop him at the pump now, the world may become unrecognizable tomorrow.
