Hello everyone. This is about Doordash using a very shady business model. When we are sent an order, not all tips are transparent, so they are basically lying to us. Also they could be stealing tips like they did before and we have no way of knowing.

I have been doing some reading and I found that they filed this with the SEC on November 13, 2020. This excerpt is from page 31 on it's S-1 form filing.

(made changes to our former pay model, and our current pay model includes (i) a base pay amount for each order, which depends on the estimated time, distance, and desirability of the order, (ii) promotions for orders that meet certain conditions, including bonuses for Dashers who meet specific goals, and (iii) tips from consumers, which Dashers receive 100% of on top of base pay and promotions. The base pay amount, any promotions, and any tips that the consumer chooses to include at checkout are shown to Dashers when they are offered a delivery.)

An example for instance, I may receive an order and they say it's $7.00 but may be more with customer tip. Well base pay here is $3, and the tip would be $4. The order may be a large order that could take say an hour, why would we accept $7 for an hour? The thing is, the $4 isn't always $4, it could be a $40 dollar tip. They do this so that we take all the $7 orders in hopes of us getting a bigger tip so the people that don't tip well get their food delivered. 

So in closing, I think this is unfair to the hardworking Dashers that have made Doordash billions of dollars, also it is unfair to the people that tip large amounts, and no one wants to pick up a huge order that is only $7 when it's not really $7 and is much more. Hopefully this petition will get to the national level to show that Doordash is the same company as it was before with trip transparency and just uses another tactic to abuse us drivers. IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE AND TIME FOR TIP TRANSPARENCY NOW!
