This issue has been lingering in my heart for awhile now. Why are we as Christians limited as to what we can speak, wear, discuss, share, etc., in most public places including schools. We have a right just as everyone else and should not be disrespected or punished in any way for our beliefs. Our children are being banned from bringing toys, backpacks, clothing etc., that has any relation to God. They are told to put them anyway and return them home as these things offend other believers. Yet we must respect by law other religions. I am sick to my stomach the fact that I have to hide my beliefs as a Christian because society doesn’t agree with what our Bible says.  Clearly our Bible says 

1 John 4:20-21
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Regardless of what others feel about Christians this is how we must behave. We cannot not judge people’s lifestyle whether they choose to be heterosexual or homosexual. We are all God’s children and must respect each other and what we believe in.  I am starting this petition to demand respect for Christians and allow us the same rights to speak freely (freedom of speech) , allowing us to wear any piece of clothing at anytime whether it be school , work, or any where we at that matter , pertaining to our beliefs without judgment or punishment. Give us our rights as every other religion has. Jews wear their Kippas as part  of there religion and muslim wear Hijabs. We respect them and we can not discrimnate based on the laws and rights they have been given. Taking away from us is unfair treatment and discrimination. 

Give us our rights and respect as Christians and Americans that we deserve in this country!
