An average of 28 people a day were been killed in DUI accidents during 2016. In 2015, approximately 10,265 people died in alcohol-impaired crashes, which was an increase of nearly 300 from the year before.  Every year the killing increases.  

Individuals have shown they are incapable of responsible behavior. Danny Lee Bettcher, of New York Mills, MN, recently was arrested for his 28th DUI offence. When will Congress create common sense Automobile Control Laws. We can't let a mad man like Bettcher have access to an automobile to go out and create wanton destruction.

In July 2017, Kelly Brooks of Midland TX, crossed the center line causing a head on collision, killing 5 people including 2 of her children. She had been drinking prior to the accident. A toxicology report shows that Brooks blood alcohol content was .278, almost 4 times the legal limit of .08.  When are we going to pass common sense Automobile laws preventing access to they deadly devices?  

President Trump, please ask congress to pass common sense laws to stop the murder of innocent people on our freeways.

The powerful automobile lobby clearly has Congress paid off.  How else can we explain the inaction while people are dying?  We must take action today.  The bony fingers of death steer the car of the drunk driver. Why is this car still legal?

We cannot let the insanity continue.  Innocent people are killed daily and yet anyone with the money can walk into a dealership and buy a car.  Many of these cars have much more horsepower than needed yet they are still legal why?  You don't need 300, 400, 500 or 1000 horsepower to drive to the grocery store or to work.  

Many individuals have several cars.  Some are reported to have as many as 50 cars.  Why would anyone need so many cars when they can only drive one at a time?  They must be planning to drive irresponsibly.
