Congestion Pricing Is Hurting New Yorkers – We Demand It Be Stopped!

The Issue

GOVERNOR HOCHUL, THIS IS YOUR LAST TERM!

The hardworking people of New York, who trusted you with their votes, now feel betrayed. Congestion pricing is punishing the very individuals who keep this city running—working families, essential workers, and small businesses. We demand that congestion pricing be stopped entirely.

Here’s why:

Small Businesses Are Suffering: Tolls are driving away customers who can no longer afford to visit local businesses, hurting sales and jobs. Small business owners are struggling to survive, while the city continues to impose unnecessary burdens on them.

Essential Workers Are Bearing the Cost: During the pandemic, essential workers were celebrated for keeping the city alive. Now, we’re being forced to foot the bill for a policy that hurts the very workers who helped the city thrive. We can’t be the ones paying for a system that’s failing us. We have politicians in office for over 30 years, and their districts have not shown any progress. I am asking the people to be deliberate with their votes and vote them out if they don’t serve our needs.

The Subway Is Unsafe: For many women, taking the subway at night is a dangerous gamble. If it’s unsafe during the day, why would anyone think it’s safe at night? The city is failing to ensure the safety of essential workers, particularly women who rely on public transportation for late-night jobs.

Bike Lanes Are Causing Congestion: The addition of bike lanes has led to the reduction of vehicle lanes, potentially causing increase in traffic.

MTA’s High Salaries: While MTA executives continue to collect bloated salaries, everyday New Yorkers are left to struggle with rising costs and an ineffective public transit system. The city is prioritizing the wrong people.

Rising Costs and Injustice: The cost of living continues to soar, while those in power continue to disregard the struggles of the working class. Politicians and elites enjoy protections and privileges that the rest of us  are left to bear the brunt of their failed policies.

Join us in standing up for small businesses, safety, and fairness. Sign this petition to demand that Governor Hochul and city leadership listen to the people and remove congestion pricing once and for all.

We do not want congestion pricing. It’s a policy that harms, not helps, New Yorkers. If our demands are not met, we are prepared to escalate our efforts, including organized actions across NYC, to make sure our voices are heard.
