To date, we've achieved accumalating 348 signatures to the petition to demand equal treatment for the missing black teens in Ontario.
Although individuals from the Black Community came together at a town hall meeting on 01/02/2025 to discuss the sudden disappearance of the missing teens, many left the meeting without that sense of commitment from law enforcement to use the same resources ordinarily used if the missing black teens belonged to another ethnic groups.
We've seen City TV, and CTV notify the public about the town hall meeting; however, they've failed the community by not identifying the problem, and not calling these missing young people by name!
Many from the Black Community are asking why their not hearing from the family members of the missing teens, yet fail to acknowledge the fact that these families have not been given any platform to express their concerns, or given any public opportunities to plead with the public to bring their children home.
We have to thank the African News Diaspora for using their platform to help bring the disappearance of our black teens into the spotlight which resulted in so many taking an interest in being a part of the movement to create public awareness about the missing black young people.
Focus needs to be on the missing, and not the fame seeking platforms who are doing their share to keep badgering the proper channels to be equitable regarding the missing youths.
A few town hall meetings are upcoming; however, it appears that these meetings are only privy to a select few!
We can't continue as a community to rely on the oppressors to ensure the safety of the members of our black community, and more urgency is needed for the Black Community to work together to create permanent change!
Thankfully outside of the African News Diaspora, Rootz Reggae Radio, and the Keeping it Real Show with Lady Christine, have opened their platform to share how little concerns the law enforcement, and mainstream media has shown to our community in relation to the rash of missing members from the Black Community!
Feel free to visit the broadcasts of this crisis aired on Rootz Reggae Radio, and the Keeping it Real Show on YouTube.
CTV, CBC, and City TV refers to the missing black youths as objects.
We'll forever remember Jon Benet Ramsey, Holly Jones, Sharin Morningstar Keenan, Adam Walsh, and Sharmini Anandavel because when they went missing the public heard their names called again and again!
Who are these missing black young people who have been portrayed as problematic, runaways, and members from the world of narcotics?
Call out their names today:

These kids need the community to which they belong to bring their names to the public free from stigmatic beliefs, generalisation, and marginalization!
