Confront the Unlawful Conduct of Nevada's Law Enforcement

The Issue

Stop the Abuse of Power by Nevada Law Enforcement!

We, the undersigned, are concerned travelers who have personally experienced and witnessed the disturbing reality of abuse of power by law enforcement officials in Nevada, particularly The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). This petition sheds light on the alarming rise of unlawful arrests, gang stalking, and deprivation of rights under the color of law, causing immense emotional distress and serious harm to Nevada residents and travelers alike.

Shared Experiences

As travelers in Nevada, we, the undersigned, experienced a deeply troubling incident. We were unlawfully pulled overin a Wendy's drive-thru with no apparent cause. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers blocked us in, restricting our freedom of movement. Under threat and duress, we were subjected to false accusations. These included selling legal marijuana (purchased from a nearby Nevada dispensary) and stealing our own car. Furthermore, we tragically suffered a fetal loss while incarcerated in Clark County Jail due to the harsh conditions we were subjected to.This incident not only caused emotional distress but also significant financial loss. The officers confiscated a legal settlement payout of $1500, additionally taking a few hundred dollars more. Despite assurances, none of the money has been returned. This left us in a severe financial hardship, especially considering the unexplained confiscation of the funds.

Furthermore, we witnessed firsthand the mistreatment of residents by law enforcement. We saw:

Unwarranted Stops: Officers stopping individuals based on flimsy pretexts or no cause at all.
Potential Gang Stalking: Individuals being followed or harassed in a coordinated manner that raised serious concerns.
Deprivation of Rights: Situations that suggested a violation of fundamental rights, such as freedom of movement or due process.
Taking a Stand for Justice

We believe everyone deserves to be treated fairly and with respect by law enforcement officials, regardless of residency status. We stand in solidarity with Nevada residents and all who have been wronged.

Common Plight

We have personally witnessed Nevada residents facing similar situations, including:

Unfounded Arrests: Officers conducting unwarranted stops and arrests based on flimsy pretexts or no cause at all.
Gang Stalking: Individuals being followed, harassed, and intimidated by coordinated groups, often with the tacit approval of law enforcement.
Deprivation of Rights: These actions violate fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution, including the right to travel freely, freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures, and due process.
Emotional Devastation: These experiences inflict significant emotional distress, financial hardship, and instill fear, hindering the exercise of basic freedoms.
Demand for Change

These actions by law enforcement may violate federal law, specifically 42 U.S.C. § 1983, which prohibits state actors from depriving individuals of their civil rights. Additionally, these acts may violate Nevada state laws concerning false arrest, harassment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

We, the undersigned, urge the Nevada government and law enforcement agencies to take immediate action to address these concerns. A thorough investigation into these unlawful practices is essential, along with a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated.
