Additionally, benefits of implementing gender sensitivity* in medical systems are:
- better quality of care given, therefore, more favorable outcomes in the patients (both genders)
- personalized treatment, fair and accurate
- more access to healthcare in general
- more trust and satisfaction between providers and patients
*Gender sensitivity means healthcare providers acknowledge and address cultural norms and biases preventing one gender from getting the care they need (Lindsay and Kolne).
