The ethnic Macedonians residing within Northern Greece have, as you are aware, established their own language centre with recent endorsement from the Hellenic Republic. This marks a minor remediation of previous internal anti-Macedonian policies developed out of Athens, and a large development in human and ethnic rights for native Macedonians in Northern Greece. However, many citizens of the Hellenic Republic have found issue with this social progress and endorsement of the basic representation for a minority people. Highlighting their Slavophobia, some Greek people have taken to the streets to protest human rights, a move morally bankrupt and inspired by hate. Understanding that rejecting the advancement of human rights is, in all cases, morally reprehensible, the 111,352 Macedonians of the diaspora in Australia, through this sample, demand that our embassy in Canberra publicly condemn the protests in Northern Greece as anti-minority, anti-Macedonian, and Slavophobic.
