As an Indian American citizens, We feel humiliated, disrespected, and disappointed by our own city official—Councilman Chandler Langevin of Palm Bay, Florida. His recent racial comment against an Indian American citizens is not only offensive but it undermines the values of diversity and inclusivity that our city should uphold. 

In a nation that thrives on multiculturalism and the fusion of various cultures and ethnic backgrounds, it is deeply troubling to see an elected official making divisive remarks. As a Brevard County residents we must ensure our leaders represent and respect the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our community. 

Palm Bay is home to many Indian Americans who contribute significantly to the local community and economy. We cherish the same principles of equality, liberty, and justice that this nation is built upon. Disparaging any ethnic group violates these foundational morals and harms community integration.

We embrace the richness of diversity and we must stand collectively against any form of racial discrimination. These steps are pivotal for fostering a community where every resident feels valued and respected.
