Concord High School was established in 1966 and since then they have been the minutemen. The minutemen were civilian colonists that formed militias and trained themselves to use the weaponry and tactics that they needed to be successful, and most of all were known for being ready for battle in a minutes notice. This mascot and definition represents our school and athletics very well.

The word "Minutemen" does not at all imply that the male population of students are any more represented than those who identify otherwise. In the same way that "man kind" represents all of the human race and not just men. The minutemen were some of the first people to fight in the revolutionary war for what they believe in, and are no doubt a large part of the reason you and I are free today. 

I have spent the past 3 years as a proud concord high minutemen and would love to see future generations of minutemen that have amazing examples and people to look up to in the same way my class does.
