This petition was created to show Birdseye Foods/Conagra Brands that the people of Waseca are not okay with the horrible odor coming from their wastewater treatment facility located just south of the city. 

I own a home and work in Waseca. The smell forces me and my family to keep our windows shut and stay inside. It is strong enough to wake me from a deep sleep and keeps my family from enjoying what our community has to offer.

Both Birdseye Foods and the city council continue to tell the people to "be patient" or "it's being fixed" while we suffer. We the people of this city want RESULTS. We've waited and dealt with this odor for long enough. It cannot be dismissed as a "bad year" or "we got a lot of rain this year". The smell MUST BE STOPPED. 

Birdeye Foods is owned by Conagra Brands, a corporation worth over $10 billion. They continue to get richer while the people of this small city pay for the consequences of their greed. They might bring some money into our community but that doesn't mean they have the right to stink up our city.

We ask that the mayor Roy Srp and the city council of Waseca force Birdseye Foods to stop the odor from their treatment facility RIGHT NOW.
