I've had close calls on Cottonvale Road, both as a pedestrian and a driver. Almost being hit or hitting someone while walking or driving along this main road is a terrifying experience. This problem is particularly acute at night, when visibility is poor. Our community in Chatham County, GA deserves better.

Cottonvale Road serves as the primary access point to several neighborhoods, yet it lacks basic safety infrastructure like sidewalks. This absence puts pedestrians and cyclists at risk every day. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 76% of pedestrian fatalities occur after dark - which makes our situation even more urgent.

Installing sidewalks will not only protect those who walk or bike along Cottonvale Road but also enhance the overall quality of life in our neighborhoods by promoting outdoor activities and reducing traffic congestion.
